For more than 20 years, Apple has provided new and innovative solutions for people with disabilities. In April of 2005, Apple created VoiceOver, a full-featured screen reading technology for the visually impaired which provides full keyboard control of the computer along with spoken audio descriptions. Since then, VoiceOver has become the most widely available and affordable screen reader on the market. On Thursday January twenty second from 6: PM to 8: pM Visions Services for the blind located at 135 West 23rd street in New York City will be presenting Using Mac Applications with VoiceOver. During this presentation we will explore How VoiceOver assists blind and visually impaired users in performing activities such as sending and receiving E-Mail, searching for information on the Internet, writing documents and more.
This is a free event however registration is encouraged. During the registration process you will be asked to complete a brief survey. The information you provide will help us taylor the event to the type of audience participating. Also, a complimentary resource CD will be made available only to those tho complete the survey and registration.
